The MFLQM rewards primary schools which demonstrate excellent practice in key areas, such as strong subject leadership, excellence in teaching and learning, assessment which informs future practice and high profile of languages within an international context.
It celebrates and rewards the achievements in Foreign Language provision and recognises best practice. The award will enable primary schools to evaluate, develop and celebrate their achievements in Foreign Language provision. This will guide schools towards achieving the national requirements as set out in the Programme of Study for KS2.
This programme will require schools to provide an application and supporting documentary evidence, with half day visits from the Liverpool Primary MFL team to evaluate all aspects of MFL provision. Schools will also be awarded a plaque and certificate for display and logo for letterheads.
In additional to this, we offer a Gold Quality Mark, which is available for schools who go ‘above and beyond’ the requirements of the Quality Mark.
