Course Overview
School Improvement Liverpool is pleased to offer an exciting accredited training opportunity for SENCo’s in PVI Settings working with children under five.
 
This innovative programme has been constructed in collaboration with educators, training organisations, SEND professionals, setting SENCo’s and managers from the PVI Sector to ensure it is meaningful.


‘Liverpool Early Years SENCo’ Award has proven to inspire SENCo’s from across the PVI sector. This course offers Early Years Practitioners both theoretical and practical support in their role as coordinator of SEND (special educational needs and disabilities).
 
The aim of this training is to develop the skills of SENCo practitioners so that they are capable and confident to effectively support the children and families they work with.

Why attend?
  • On successful completion of the course, participants will gain ‘Liverpool Early Years SENCo Award’ accredited with CACHE modules, including being awarded 5 credits towards a level 4 CACHE qualification.
  • There will also be further opportunity for those who wish, to progress to a higher professional diploma.

Supplementary info 
  • All delegates will need to be a minimum of Level 3 qualified practitioner, and currently working as a SENCo within their setting. 
  • The full support of the setting manager will be essential.
  • A silver nasen membership is included as part of this qualification at no addtional charge to the delegate. In order to receive this, delegates will be requried to agree to share their contact details with nasen. 

Who should attend? 
Early Years Practitioners who have the responsibility for working with children who have a special educational need or disability. 

Course frequency 
12 full day sessions
Delegates are required to attend all sessions
